In Vicente Esplugues Ferrero, priest missioner of the “Verbum Dei” and vicari of the Parròquia Our Lady of the Americas, to Madrid, will be the preacher in the Major Mass of the 23 d'April 2021, St. George's Day

Vicente Esplugues Ferrero (Valencia, 1970) and with roots in Banyeres de Mariola. Hence his parents and older siblings. He is a missionary priest of the “The word of God”. He has developed his pastoral activity in destinations as diverse as Venezuela (in the city of Barquisimeto), Cameroon or Palma. He is currently the vicar of the Parish Our Lady of the Americas, to Madrid.

From his life in a slum of Valencia was born a social sensitivity and a desire for justice that found in the Gospel of Jesus and in the proclamation of the Word of God the channels through which to live beauty in the midst of the daily difficulties.

It has its own YouTube channel, “01Americas’”, where he publishes videos with his Sunday homilies and other reflections that he shares in his parish. He also participates in the program ‘This sounds to me’, of Spanish National Radio, with a section called “ Metallic cassock in which he puts on rock and heavy metal music, and speaks of different dimensions of life.

The 13 August 2020, Vicente Esplugues Ferrero celebrated a Eucharistic celebration in the parish church of Nuestra Señora de la Misericòrdia in Banyeres de Mariola, to celebrate his 25 anniversary of priestly ordination. Ramón Micó Colomer accompanied him to the ceremony, bishop of our parish and his sisters, nephews, relatives living in Banyeres, friends and faithful.
