XXXV Musical Conferences of the Octavari

the Transfer of the Board of Directors is carried out 2014 the XXXV Musical Conferences of the Octavarian of Sant Jordi.

This year the design of the announcement poster and hand program was made by Elena Molina Martinez, native and neighbor of our town, Licensed in Fine Arts for the faculty of San Carlos at the Polytechnic University of Valencia and formed in photography and cinema in (UK). It continues to train with photographers and graphics of graphics of international recognition such as Eugene Recounco, Jonath, Natalia Taffarel among others. The author was part of the Jury in the Sant Jordi de Banyeres de Mariola Party Poster Contest 2014.

The concert program will be formed, as has been usual in recent years, for two concerts, which will be held and as is customary on the Sundays following the celebration of the patronal feasts: in the Parish Temple of St. Mary of Mercy, them 19:30 h, once the evening Mass is over, being free entry.

The concerts scheduled for this year are as follows:

1. At the end of the celebration, the preacher will sign the Golden Book of the Brotherhood of St. George at the headquarters of the entity. 27 of April, the VICENTE MARTÍN AND SOLER PHILHARMONIC ORCHESTRA, newly created, under the direction of Carmen Más Arocas, who will interpret the following program:

Concert in D minor for two violins, Johann Sebastian BACH.
Concerto for cello and orchestra No 1 in C Major, first movement by Franz Joseph HAYDN.

2. Sunday in May, the Ontinyent ATRIUM SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA, under the baton of its director Saül Gómez Soler, with the repertoire:

Finland, the Jean SIBELIUS.
The Moldava, de B. SMETANA.
Concert Nº 1 for the piano the orchestra, P. TCHAIKOVSKY. Sent Juan Lago the piano soloist.

The concerts are sponsored by the M.I. Banyeres de Mariola City Council, Culture Arts and the Brotherhood of Sant Jordi, and the organization is in charge of the Department of Culture of the M.I. Banyeres de Mariola Town Council and the Confraternity of Sant Jordi de Banyeres de Mariola. Collaborating in a special way as in recent years the Parish of Santa Maria de la Misericordia and the Banyeres de Mariola Musical Society.
