Restoration of the anda and the image of Sant Jordi

The Brotherhood of St. George, after a few months of study to find the right company to proceed with the restoration of the walk and the image of Sant Jordi that is used in the transfers of our Patrón and presides over our patronal festivities in the month of April, has reached an agreement with the company "Art i Restauració" in Algemesí; company specialized in the restoration of religious heritage, they are already images, altars, etc.

This company, which usually works for the Ministry of Culture of the Generalitat Valenciana, participa assíduament en la restauració de patrimoni eclesiàstic de la nostra Comunitat Valenciana per a les exposicions periòdiques de la Llum de les Imatges i que en els últims mesos ha restaurat a Ontinyent la Purísima, patrona de esta ciutat veïna de la Vall d’Albaida.

En els pròxims mesos seran portades l’anda i la imatge a esta localitat valenciana per a iniciar-se els treballs de restauració, i segons el previst estaran concloses durant el mes d’abril, per a que arriben a Banyeres amb el temps necessari per muntar tot el sistema elèctric de l’anda.
