The grip A and the Feast of the Relic

Faced with the social alarm created by the media in recent weeks, we have asked the medical and nursing coordinators of the Banyeres de Mariola Health Center for information, in order to inform us of the recommendations regarding the transmission of the much feared Influenza A, per la qual cosa a nosaltres com a responsables de la Confraria ens competix, when the veneration of the Relic of Sant Jordi is realized like last act of which they are realized in honor of our Patron when finalizing the Procession, with the besamà by all the faithful.

Se’ns informa que “A data de hui podem dir que en contraposició d’allò que s’ha succeït en algunes comunitats autónomes, la Generalitat Valenciana no ha dictat cap norma o recomanació respecte d’això d’este tema. Esta setmana que ve, en vespres de la Relíquia i d’iniciar-se el nou curs passades les vacacions estiuenques, en el cas que hi haja algun tipus de novetat se’ns informarà respecte d’això perquè podem actuar en conseqüència.”

En principi la Confraria donarà a besar el reliquiari, as has always been traditional, a totes aquelles persones que desitgen venerar la Santa Relíquia i per a les persones que no vullguen besar el reliquiari se’ls farà entrega d’una estampa amb la Imatge de la nostra Relíquia de Sant Jordi i que en cada cas particular podran venerar o no.
