Brotherhood of St. George
Last year we said goodbye hoping to be able to organize the religious events of the Moors and Christians festivities in Honor of Sant Jordi Martyr for the year 2022. A year later we thank God and Sant Jordi for their intercession and we leave a written record of everything we have done and organized after two years of restrictions due to Covid-19.
The first activity of the year was the traditional cardboard gathering, which as always takes place on the first Saturday after Reis and it was, on this occasion, the 8 January 2022.
The 6 February, we will begin to bring together the heads of the working groups with the president, in order to review the Sant Jordi Festival script, without knowing for sure if they would be carried out. We met complying with all the health measures that, then, they were mandatory, like for example, the use of the mask.
The 20 February, We will launch on social networks the bases of the II Confraria de Sant Jordi Drawing Contest and we will encourage the boys and girls of the town to participate- hi.
The 23 February, in the garage of the Brotherhood Headquarters, we will leave the identified and hung pieces that could be saved from the restoration of the access doors of the Parish Temple that, on the initiative of the board of directors chaired by Rafael E. Belda Doménech ordered restoration at Jordi Sempere's local carpentry.
HE 27 February, we will participate together with other confraternities of the parish, carrying the stick·him in the cloistered procession by 93 anniversary of the consecration of the town·that of Banyeres de Mariola in the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
The 5 of March we will celebrate the 14th General Assembly of the Brotherhood of Sant Jordi, that for health reasons from the 7 of March of 2020 we hadn't been able to celebrate- don't cap.
The 30 March, the president and vice president were interviewed by announcer Joan Lluís Escoda Parra of Intercomarcal Televisió. It is always a pleasure to talk to the regional media, because it is a way of bringing the Brotherhood and the festivities closer to each of the people who follow this television channel. We thank Pinar Gastronòmic for the hospitality and the Banyeres de Mariola Town Council for this service.
The 31 In March we made public the name of the preacher for the Major Mass on Saint George's Day, the He·lustríssim Sr. Jesús Soriano Murgui, bishop emeritus of Oriola-Alicante.
The 3 d'abril, once the Plaça Major pavement has been remodeled, sol·we will tender to the City Council and the Local Police to be able to remove the Sant Jordi float and also the image to do a first test.

The 9 d'abril, we did the second cardboard collection of the year.
The 13 In April we met the jury of the II Confraria de Sant Jordi Drawing Contest, format for the president, the secretary and two drawing technicians members of the board of directors. Once the different envelopes with the drawings have been opened and classified by category, its artistic and compositional revision proceeded. In this edition, a total of 24 drawings. The great work done by all the boys and girls should be highlighted. His drawings show a great knowledge of Sant Jordi, of the festivities and the town. This is how the work of the families to keep alive the devotion to Patrón Sant Jordi is shown.
The weeks before the Sant Jordi festivities, the work groups were each immersed in their tasks in order to complete all the details for the big days of our Patrón. We will take advantage of the Easter holidays to prepare all the necessary material, the images and the corresponding processions. Good Friday, after the Holy Burial Procession, we will take the float and Sant Jordi. For the first time in the hands of Roberto Silvestre Calatayud, board member, who was making his debut as a driver. We went through the streets of the procession, so that the 23 there would be no setbacks.
The Sunday of Glory, at the Hermitage of St. George, we will raise the flags of Spain, of the Valencian Community and of the ten threads, around which we launched cane rockets. At nine in the morning we will ring the hermitage bell, together with those of the parish, announcing that Our Lord had risen, foundation of our faith, it feels like a morning of joy, music and brotherhood.
The evening of 21 In April we witnessed the transfer of charge at the entrance to the hermitage park, between Vicente Francés Francés the standard-bearer for years of the Script of Sant Jordi, Mª Pilar Albero Asensio, both members of the Christian family. The first one passed the Script to the novel at the entrance to the Ermita de Sant Jordi park. Thanks to Vicente Francés Francés for the years in which he has developed this position, and congratulations to Mª Pilar Vaño Asensio for holding this position. then, four members of the Board of Directors of the Confraternity of Sant Jordi, from the Ermita they took the Sant, transferring the image to those responsible for the Andes. The 22 d'abril, the president, the vice president, the secretary and the treasurer received revelers at the doors of the Parish Temple, captains, bandereres, presidents and presidents, sergeants with the flags, to the two musical and dolçaine organizations, to the mayor of Festes, the president, and the secretary and the Sant Jordi Festivities Committee and finally the municipal corporation. Covered with the red chasuble of Sant Jordi, and great connoisseur of our devotion to Sant Jordi and our feast, he thanked and expressed his happiness for sharing the Word of God and the Eucharist with all of us. It encourages us to appreciate and live what this day means, a village-family, not to lose faith and to follow the example of our Patron. Plus, we congratulate ourselves for preserving traditions and values that maintain and enrich the faith. For the celebration, eight priests and a deacon concelebrated with the bishop emeritus. Children and First Communion children helped, Antonio Reig, Antonio Sempere and Juan Luis Beneyto. The readings were proclaimed by Sandra Ferre García of the Jordians Order and by Rafael Vicedo Alal of the Caliph Order, the psalm sung by the Mariola Choir, the Gospel proclaimed by the deacon and the prayers by Mª Teresa Doménech Montava, member of the Brotherhood. The Mariola Choir and a group of musicians accompanied the liturgical celebration by interpreting the composition: The Mass of Sant Jordi de Banyeres de Mariola, released on 23 d'April 2010.
Once the celebration is over and already in the stands of the Parish Temple, the residents of Plaça Major threw multi-colored pennies from their balconies, that we had prepared the Brotherhood, congratulating Sant Jordi's Day in the village of Banyeres de Mariola.
D. Jesús Soriano Murgui, he signed the golden book of the Confraternity of Sant Jordi for the second time, Ha, what is he going to preach? 2 September 2012, Sunday of the Relic. In the afternoon, specially and after two years, we will accompany the image of Sant Jordi in procession through the streets of our town. The board of directors will edit the Joys to the Glorious Martyr Sant Jordi with this image and commemorate the 82nd anniversary (1940-2022) of the donation to the Parish of Our Lady of Mercy and the town of Banyeres de Mariola by Mr.. Victor Miguel Sempere Castelló, besoncle of three members of the current board, Macarena Albero Cortés, Estanislao Mataix Mora and Jorge Sempere Aracil.
While the Procession was leaving, a simple act was performed at the feet of our Patron. The board of directors of the Confraternity of Sant Jordi, represented by the president and secretary, they delivered to the children baptized in the last two years with the name of the Saint, from the story Sant Jordi has arrived in Banyeres de Mariola, dedicated. On this occasion there were two children: Jorge Vañó Albero and Jorge Ferre Mora. Our wish is that they continue to baptize in the name of the Patron.
The 25 d'April 2022, we could see excited revelers firing salvos at their deceased, hear the thunders of arquebussery, smell the gunpowder and listen to the funeral marches played by the bands that accompanied each of the ten rows at the entrance to the cemetery. D. Ramón Mico, clad in the purple chasuble of Sant Jordi, officiated the mass together with deacon Rodrigo Ferre Bodí. The pal·it was held by the presidents and presidents of the ten rows, the readings were proclaimed by the rows of Old Christians and Moors, Rodrigo Ferre Vicedo and Antonio Sempere Beneyto respectively, the psalm was sung by Ma Jesus French Beautiful, the prayers read by Mª Dolores Segura Beneyto, both members of the Board of Directors of the Brotherhood, First Communion boys and girls, The school children were dressed in their respective suits and the Gospel was proclaimed by the deacon. As usual, the line of Moros Vells, represented by their captains, they made the offering of a wreath of flowers, that they left at the foot of the Altar. Then, we proceeded to draw a picture of Sant Jordi among all the brothers. The graceful one was María Gracia Mollá Giménez.
At twelve noon, the president Mª Elena Vilanova Calatayud went to the Ermita del Sant Crist together with the mayor Josep Sempere i Castelló, the party mayor Fidel Bodí García, the president and the secretary of the Party Committee Beatriz Francés Tortosa and Francisco Albero i Blanquer respectively, invited by the president of the Confraternity of the Most Holy Christ, Irene Ferre Always, at the signing ceremony of the Golden Book by the new captains.
On Tuesday 26 d'abril, the Masses of the Octavari of Sant Jordi began with the intentions of the deceased from the processions, musical organizations, village of Banyeres Mariola and will end on Tuesday 3 of May with those of the Brotherhood of Sant Jordi. Every day they remembered through social networks the intentions of the day with representative images.
In the XXXVI edition of the poster contest, the award for best local artist went to Ana Belda Tudela. So, and how traditional it is, the president of the Confraternity of Sant Jordi contacted the graphic designer, I know what the·will polish the poster of the XLII Musical Days, that took place on the days 29 i 30 d’abril i 1 May. The second musical day was in charge of the traveling students of Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London of which the violinist Bayerina is part, Laia French Bridge. They accompanied her on the cello, Alexander Scott-Brown i al piano, Pau Vendrell Vilardaga. The latter in charge of the Symphony Orchestra of the Society La Primitiva of Rafelbunyol, being the director, Pablo Marquis, solo clarinet, Daniel Bellovi (Orchestra Palace of the Arts). On Saturday 7 May, the Association of Relatives and Friends of Alzheimer's Patients of Banyeres de Mariola inaugurated the new Alzheimer Center. The president of the Brotherhood of St. George, M. Elena Vilanova Calatayud, delivered to the president of the Association, Raquel Ferre Albero, a pyro-engraved wooden Sant Jordi for the users of the new Centre, to thank the invitation received and all the work done by the Association to carry out the construction of the day center that is so favored by the town.
The evening of 7 May, the delivery took place at the Headquarters of the Confraternity of Sant Jordi, to the confrere graced with the picture of Sant Jordi raffled on 25 d'abril. Trophies will also be given to the boys and girls who won the II Sant Jordi Confraternity Drawing Contest. On this occasion the trophy consisted of an image of Sant Jordi from the altar carved in wood, personalized with the winner's name, the motto of the drawing and an accrediting diploma. Then, we went to the Mass before the Transfer, who officiated D. Mico Ramon Colomer. For the second year in a row, from the dome of the Parish Temple, we will release a large petal when we sing the Anthem of Sant Jordi. We thank Antonio Reig Gisbert for the col·collaboration with the collection·collection of petals, and to the councilors of the City Council who came up, together with Antonio, to throw them from the dome. Once the celebration is over, we will begin the Procession of the Transfer of the image of Sant Jordi to the Hermitage. We are enormously grateful to the bearers of Sant Jordi's andes, for his good deed. It was a procession in which we emphasize that, the ten rows were represented by Captains and Banners of right. The entrance to the access corridor to the Hermitage was guarded by Boy and Girl Scouts with burning candles, it was an unforgettable and comforting picture. Once the image was on the altar table, D. Ramón Micó addressed a few words to all those present, municipal corporation and board of directors of the Brotherhood and encouraged us to caress the image with a gesture of gratitude.
The 18 June, we did the third cardboard collection of the year.
The 19 June, after two years of pandemic restrictions, the festivity of Corpus Christi returns to our streets and the Board of Directors of the Brotherhood with the Script of Sant Jordi, brought by Ma Pilar Albero Asensio, they headed the group of confraternities and associations. It was a source of joy for us to accompany Our Lord through the streets of our town. That same evening, Permalink to Relief on the Board of Directors of the Brotherhood of St. George, we did a small act of recognition and thanks to Mari Carmen Ferre Francés of Papereria Baldomero. The president will give him an engraving of the Sant Jordi Script, work of Manuel Granado, by the provision and col·collaboration given over many years to the Confraternity of Sant Jordi.
The days 16 i 17 of July, we will set up a stall in the Plaza Mayor, in the four corners, and there new items from the Confraternity catalog were offered, such as the children's t-shirts and mugs designed by Sara Serrano Francés and the adult t-shirts designed by Jorge Esteve Molina, member of the Brotherhood. We will also launch Sant Jordi bracelets and medals in silver and aromatic candles for sale. It is the first and the last in which we participate, since the two previous editions were suspended due to the pandemic. We will always remember the complicity and good atmosphere of the members of the board and at the same time express our gratitude to all the neighbors who come to our stand.
The 8 August 2022, around the 13:00 h, arrived in Banyeres de Mariola with the Mobile Mother, the pilgrim image of Our Lady of the Despairs. The first stop was the Geriatric, and the second in the Main Square. The board of directors of the Brotherhood of Sant Jordi will prepare the image of Sant Jordi and the col·we rented at the gate of the Parish Temple. In the stands we col·they located the scripts of all the confraternities and associations of the Parish. It will forever remain in our memory, the crowd of neighbors waiting for the Virgin Mary, the sound of the bells being rung manually by our town's bell ringers and the feeling of joy and happiness. The 31 August, Intercomarcal TV with announcer Joan Lluís Escoda Parra, he visited us at the Headquarters of the Confraternity of Sant Jordi and interviewed the president, for the special program on the occasion of the celebration of the Feasts of the Relic 2022 which was issued on 2 September.
September 1, the board of directors will assemble the canopy and the wooden reliquary on the high altar in the Parish Temple and the tablecloths will be left with·located at the altar of St. George. Throughout the months of July and August we will dedicate them to organizing and preparing the 242nd anniversary of the arrival in Banyeres de Mariola of the Relic of Sant Jordi. Everything we prepare is important, even so we stand out, the invitation extended to preside and to preach to D. Santiago Piñeiro Mollá, vicar of the Parish of the Assumption of Our Lady of Alboraia, and family of the president of the Confraternity of Sant Jordi, and the image chosen for the Joys of the Glorious Martyr Sant Jordi and the stamps from the Anthem of Sant Jordi, that in this edition we will choose the image of the holy Relic of Sant Jordi.
At the end of the celebration, the preacher will sign the Golden Book of the Brotherhood of St. George at the headquarters of the entity. 4 September, them 10:30 h, the president and a very small group of the board of directors received the preacher at the doors of the Abbey House, D. Santiago Piñeiro Mollá. Concelebrate the Missa Major, D. Josep Miquel Francés Camús, D. Francisco Vañó Asensio, D. Ramón Micó Colomer and deacon D. Rodrigo Ferre Bodí. They helped in the celebration, Antonio Reig Gisbert, Antonio Sempere Beneyto and a group of students made up of First Communion boys and girls. The readings were proclaimed by Francisco Monteagudo Oliver from the Students section and Mª Carmen Bodí Vicedo from the Moros Nous section, the psalm sung by the Mariola Choir, the Gospel proclaimed by the deacon and the prayers by the secretary of the Brotherhood. The homily of D. Santiago reached the hearts of those present, show of the feeling it moved, brought the celebration to a standing ovation. We distributed the fan among all the attendees, that Imprenta Albero gave us last year, S.L. of Biar and the stamp of the Relíquia with the Anthem of Sant Jordi.
After the firing of the mascletada, the accompanying event began at the Brotherhood Headquarters. Once gathered in the hall of the Headquarters of the Brotherhood of Sant Jordi the usual protocol, in addition to the mayor and the members of the municipal corporation of the twinned town of Campan (France), the president welcomed and thanked everyone present and especially D. Santiago Piñeiro Mollà, which he wrote and signed in the Brotherhood's Golden Book. The writing leaves evidence of his presence among us. The president presented him with an engraving of the Sant Jordi Script by local artist Manuel Granado. After the children's parade of leaders and squads, the Solemn Procession of the Relic of Sant Jordi began. The last to be celebrated was last year 2019. This one was once again roaming the streets of our town. While the Procession was leaving, representing the Confraternity of Sant Jordi, the president and the secretary delivered the story Ja Arriba Sant Jordi a Banyeres de Mariola dedicated to the children baptized in these months with the name of Sant Jordi and also to the son of a member of the board, who took First Communion in the month of May. Jordi Francés Mut and Jordi Francés Gil, i Mauro Reig Tree, are the ones who have received this detail.
The Holy Relic was carried with great esteem by the priest of Camp de Mirra, D. Josep Miquel Francés Camús, bringing the Relic closer to adults and children. We will live and feel moments of great emotion. Huge thanks to the pall bearers·at the, the escort and flag bearers, for his good deed. The faithful will pass the prints of the Gojos by the Relic of Sant Jordi, turning these into relics of the third degree. Miquel Payà Molina accompanied us on the organ for the singing of the Joys while the Relic entered the Parish Temple. To finish, he interpreted the Hymn to Sant Jordi.
The 6 September, two days after the Relic, our friend and member of the Board of Directors of the Sant Jordi Brotherhood left us, Vicente Frances Huertas. Throughout these two years, he has transmitted and manifested his devotion to Sant Jordi, we shared his good humor, ease in the face of difficulties, the arrangement in col·work in all activities, and the cure of the Hermitage of Sant Jordi. Known in the village as a big partier and pirate at heart. Every time we sing the Hymn to Sant Jordi and the church bells ring, you will be present in our memory. Every second Sunday in September, l’any 2022 it was the day 11, the parish community will celebrate with joy the day of our titular, the Mother of God of Mercy. On this occasion, we united in the Eucharistic celebration the thanksgiving to God for the fifty years since the foundation of the Mariola Choir (they were already fifty- two years, celebration postponed due to Covid-19) and the twenty-five years that D. Ramón Micó Colomer officiated this solemn mass, the first in Banyeres de Mariola, after having been ordained rector on 28 June 1997.
To participate in the Christmas draw, the image of Sant Jordi chosen was the table that Antonio Reig Gisbert gave to the town of Banyeres de Mariola in the year 1991 and which is on the south-east facade of the Ermita del Sant Crist. It reproduces the image of the Saint that was venerated on its altar in the Parish Temple until it was destroyed in the Civil War. In addition, it is the first image of Sant Jordi that we have evidence of in our town. We thank the businesses col·workers, to the advertisers who help us to continue spreading the iconography of our Patrón and to all the people who col·they work unconditionally, any rere any, with the Brotherhood of Sant Jordi buying the shares and tithes.
Macaws, in the month of September and coinciding on the fourth Saturday of more, mass will be celebrated for the deceased of the Confraternity of Sant Jordi in its Chapel. Only Filà Marrocs celebrates an annual mass in this beloved place. The 24 September, D. Ramón Micó Colomer officiated the Eucharist at 19:00 h. There we will gather part of the board of directors and a group of the faithful to pray and give thanks for all the people who have gone before us and have left us a testimony of love for Jesus Christ and devotion to Sant Jordi.
At the end of the celebration, the preacher will sign the Golden Book of the Brotherhood of St. George at the headquarters of the entity. 25 September, summoned by the Archpriest of Our Lady of Agres to participate in the pilgrimage and the Eucharist, part of the board of directors we will set off to make a pilgrimage, from Banyeres de Mariola to the Sanctuary of Agres and so on, venerate the image of the Virgin Mary. At 12 of noon, we will participate in the blessing mass of the "Mare de Déu del Castell" bell. It was a morning of brotherhood and sharing the path, which always becomes lighter when accompanied.
The days 7 i 8 October 2022 we will carry out the fourth cardboard collection of the year. We are extremely grateful to the companies and residents of Banyeres de Mariola for the gesture of saving and preparing the cardboard that, around every three months we stop by to collect.
The 12 of October at the Headquarters of the Confraternity of Sant Jordi, the act of donating a canvas in oil of Sant Jordi by the children of Cristóbal Albero Francés and Carmen Ribera Belda took place. The 28 in the same month there was another donation, on this occasion a sheet of the Acapte, a counter and a plate with the image of Sant Jordi from the heirs of José Antonio Blanes Verdú. We greatly appreciate these donations, which are deposited in the Headquarters and increase the heritage of the Confraternity of Sant Jordi.
The 4 In November we held an ordinary meeting of the board of directors in the Confraternity of Sant Jordi.
The days 5 i 6 in November he visited the Pilgrim Image of Our Lady of the Despairs vicarage VI, on the occasion of the Jubilee Year of the Centenary of the Canonical Coronation. The town chosen for this vicarage was Ontinyent. A group from the Board of Directors of the Confraternity of Sant Jordi will go there and participate in the events scheduled for this celebration. For us a feeling of gratitude and joy for sharing the song, the prayer and the Solemn Eucharist with all the faithful gathered there.
The Brotherhood of St. George, represented by M. Elena Vilanova Calatayud, Chairwoman, i Macarena Albero Cortés, secretary, attended the 18 of November at the solemn swearing-in ceremony of new Knights of the Centenary of the Plum in the church of Sant Joan de la Creu, one of the oldest in the city of Valencia. The event was chaired by His Excellency. Jaime Sancho Andreu, former rector of the Basilica of the Virgin of the Despairs and Canon of the Cathedral of Valencia assisted by the Superior of the Discalced Carmelite Order Fray Miguel Hernansaiz López. The Ceremony began with the delivery of the Sant Jordi Alms Crosses. These are imposed Ius Sanguinis and Pro Meritis to those who, for their brilliant career in favor of the Valencian or family bond in the Centenar de la Ploma they are considered worthy of this distinction. Then the investiture ceremony of the new Knights took place. These on their knees and before God, they swore to defend the Real Senyera, the territorial integrity of the Kingdom of Valencia, its language and culture as worthy heirs of the old Valencian Foral Militia. Next, and as established by the tradition of the Chapter, the Lieutenant General of the Centenary, the Mass of the Feast of the Relic has been presided over by the former vicar of our parish. Mr. Bernardo Celda and Muñoz on behalf of S.A.I. i R. N’Andrés Salvador d’Habsburgo-Lorena i Salm- Salm Archduke of Austria, he drew a cross touching the novice's shoulders and named him Knight. we will finish, celebrating a Gala Dinner at the Casino d'Agricultura with a toast of honor for all of them. The Confraternity of Sant Jordi is grateful for the invitation and the attention received by the members of the Centenary of the Ploma and especially to His Excellency. For the calendar of the year 2023, the chosen image is, a watercolor·the property of the Brotherhood of Sant Jordi acquired in May 1991. The work is by the Alcoy painter D. Rafael Guarinos Blanes. This represents Sant Jordi on a horse, throwing to the dragon and in the background the Tower of Homage of our Castle. The Board of Directors of the Confraternity of Sant Jordi is extremely grateful to the local company Albero Forte Composite, S.L. the sponsorship of the calendar. With this gesture they allow Sant Jordi to arrive at the brothers' house.
Sant Jordi is one of the most revered saints in the world, and that's not why we don't stop being surprised when we see in other countries how they celebrate their festivity and what their iconography is like. We have an example in the city of Modica (Ragusa) Sicily, from where for the month of April 2022 a video of the procession that every 23 d'April walks the streets of this city. What impressed us the most is the way the image is carried. They do the route at a fast pace and sometimes, even, current, Simulating the gallop. The local band accompanying them plays a joyful and festive march called, The King (Archibald Mizzi). Another peculiarity is that the bearers are dressed in a red shirt and the whole world gathered there chants the march. We will be in touch, via postal mail, amb San Giorgio Martire Patron Saint of Modica, amb the San Giorgio Carriers Association, also with San Giorgio Martire Patron of Ragusa and with a gentleman from the island of Malta called Neville Attard, devotee and bearer of the image of Sant Jordi in the city of Qormi, to be able to exchange prints and information on the celebrations in honor of the Megalo-Martyr Sant Jordi. We will send you prints of the Rejoices and the Anthem of Sant Jordi, the book Ja arriba Sant Jordi a Banyeres de Mariola among others and they have done the same with us. From the islands of Malta and Gozo, he sends us a good cabbage·collection of prints, stamps, stickers, some keychain, magnets and even a program of their parties. From now on they are part of the archive of the Confraternity of Sant Jordi.
In the first meetings as a board of directors, we proposed a project that has been becoming a reality throughout these three years. The 28 May 2021 we will contact those responsible for Electro Recamp, S.L., of Atzeneta d'Albaida, Vicent i César Tomás Calatayud, to make new the bell called Sant Jordi, of the bell tower of the Parish Temple. After many conversations and estimates, D. Mico Ramon Colomer, rector of our Parish and his colleagues·workers, have involved more confraternities and, like this, we managed to get the project to be from the whole Parish. The Board of Directors of the Confraternity of Sant Jordi will pay the second largest of the four that make up the complete set. The material to be used will be high quality new bronze with an alloy of 22% of tin and 78% pure roig racing, to obtain a better sonority in the entire harmonic set. The layout and design of the new bell profile template was carried out by bell specialist Gideon Bodden, from Holland. And he will be the master smelter, Abel Portilla of Cantabria, who will carry out the work in an artisanal way. The new bell set recovers, as they used to have in our town, the sow – counterpart to the bells – of the skirt. What, in this case, i, to guarantee its durability, it will be made of iroko in the traditional Valencian style, with convergent profile and trapezoidal shape. The company Electro Recamp will undertake the dismantling work of the current bells, the renewal of the turning mechanisms, peak and battles, as well as the construction of the new wooden bristles and their assembly and adjustment. Grúas Rigar, S.L.U., from Quart de Poblet, col·will work with the dismantling of the old bells and the assembly of the new ones. It remains our effort, work, i, above all, the design that, at this year's Sant Jordi Festival, the new bells are ringing in our town.
The 3 May 2023 it will be twenty-five years since the inauguration of the Headquarters of the Confraternity of Sant Jordi by His Excellency. i Rvdm. Sr. en Rafael Sanus i Abad, Auxiliary Bishop of Valencia. We remember this anniversary and the board of directors chaired by Vicente Belda Vázquez who, with effort, involving a whole town, patience and gratitude, we made your project come true. The boards that have preceded them, we have taken care of this space and what it means; meeting point, workplace, place of welcome and congratulations, place of gratitude and tradition. To celebrate this anniversary, we will be organizing open days for all the people who want to visit the Headquarters.
After almost three years at the front of the Brotherhood of Sant Jordi, I convey to you the feeling of gratitude towards all the people who have accompanied me on this adventure. Plus, for your the·hope, t work, involvement and esteem in maintaining and passing on the great legacy entrusted to us by our elders, which is faith in Jesus Christ and devotion to Sant Jordi. I also thank the members of the board of directors chaired by Rafael E. Belda Doménech, my predecessor, for having thought with me to exercise this position. However, at Majorals de Sant Jordi, who have always been available for my inquiries. Equally, I thank the Parish of Our Lady of Mercy with D. Mico Ramon Colomer, in front of him, to guide and comfort me at all times. Finally, and therefore no less important, my gratitude to my family who, discreetly, has been by my side, and he has given me his love and presence in every moment.
I thank the brothers enormously, hermits, col·workers, sponsors, local businesses and businesses, to the neighbors, for your support and availability with what the Brotherhood has needed.
I am also grateful to the presidents and presidents of the ten rows, of the musical entities, colla de xirimiters, coral, party mayor, Chairwoman, secretary and members of the Party Committee. It has been a pleasure to organize and carry out together our Moors and Christians Festivities in Honor of Sant Jordi.
My recognition also to the Banyeres de Mariola Town Council, represented by the mayor and the municipal corporation, to accompany us and facilitate what is necessary to carry out the religious acts of our Festivities.
I have in mind and keep a special memory for the families who have lost loved ones throughout this year. I give you a warm hug of encouragement that comforts you.
I share my most sincere congratulations to the families and friends who this year hold the positions of captains and flag bearers representing your ranks. It is satisfactory that this year the ten have legal positions. I wish you an endearing captaincy full of good moments.
I encourage you to enjoy the Festival and take care of its meaning, which is nothing more than honoring Sant Jordi Martyr, faithful imitator of the Passion of Jesus Christ, example and model for all of us.
