In the holiday program each day has its title: 22 ” Entry day”; 23 "Day of the Patron S. to contact you; 24 “Day of Moors and Christians”..; and the day 25, has as its title
“God of the Holy Christ”.
The younger ones will wonder: “But it is not the day of the cementeri?”. The day most lived and appreciated by us. Isn't it the emblematic act of Banyeres?. Yes, the only town that has this festive event. What then is the reason for this title??
In history we find the answer. In our parties the two high points of them were the 23 and the 25 of April, with religious celebrations, with solemn masses, with the presence of authorities and captains. And the reason is that S. Jorge is the martyr of Christ who sheds his blood for us and S. Jorge, for Christ he also sheds his blood. And its flag is the White Flag with the red cross.. Martyr and cross, Christ and Cross. Both intimately united. Reality that we share with other peoples.
