To each and every one of those who have to see these letters, we give faith and testimony, that for the greater glory of Almighty God and veneration of the Saints, we have placed in this wooden ark, THE RELIC OF THE ARM OF SAINT GEORGE, from the reliquary of the Cathedral of Valencia, so that the day 1 September of the current year can be venerated in the parish of Santa María de Banyeres de Mariola.
The bone is set in gold sheets, silver gilt and in its color, chiseled and openwork. It has applications of translucent enamels with the arms of Aragon and Cyprus and the image of Saint George. The following inscription is engraved on the rods that fasten the relic:
“This is the major of the arm of St. George which plots the queen of Cyprus gives Leonor to the lord king in Peter III darago in barcelona on december 7th of the year of the nativity of our lord ten xpt MCCCLXXVI ”.
The link of the relic measures: 25 x 6,5 x 3,5 cm.
For the faith of which, we send these present letters, signed by our hand and guaranteed by the seal of the Cabildo.
