The festival of Moors and Christians of Banyeres de Mariola starts on Sunday evening 27 in April a new cultural brooch with the celebration of the XXXV edition of the Octavari Musical Days of St Jordi, thus making it one of the oldest classical music events in the Valencian Community that are celebrated uninterruptedly.
The cultural event begins with a performance by the Vicente Martí i Soler Philharmonic Orchestra, directed by Carmen Más Arocas, with the offer in its program of Pergolesi pieces, Bach, Haydn i Williams.
The classical music program will be completed on Sunday 4 of May with the performance of the Atrium Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of Saül Gómez Soler and with the interpretation of works by Sibelius, Sour cream, i Tchaikovsky.
The organization is in charge of the Brotherhood of St. George, with the sponsorship of M. I. City Hall and the col·collaboration of the Parish of Sta. Maria and the Banyeres Musical Society. Both concerts will take place in the parish church of Sta. Maria, being the start time from 19.30 hours with free entry.
