THE RELIC OF SAINT JORDI MARTYR
The Relic of San Jorge arrived in Banyeres de Mariola in the year 1780 and continues to commemorate his arrival in the municipality, thus, Every year on the first weekend of September, the Moors and Christians festivities are revived. 22 al 25 April in honor of Saint George.
The festival of the Relic revives the "entrà" and as it happens during the days of festivities in the month of April, has the participation of all comparsas, of the Christian side: "Christians", "Students", "Maseros", "Smugglers" and "Jordanians", and the Moorish side; "Old Moors",“Moros Us”, "Morocco", ”Pirates” and ”Califs”.
At the end of the tour of the act, in the main square, the festeros and festeras present their weapons to the image of San Jorge that is located on the facade of the church.
On the day of the relic, the target is also represented, to continue with the high mass. In the afternoon the children's parade is celebrated, and to put the final point there will be the procession to the Relic that ends with the celebrations until next April

They will tour the Plaça Major and the Major streets, Felip IV, We, mercy, Saint Michael, Master Serrano, We, San Francisco, Our Lady of the Desperate, Saint Anthony, Saint George, Ermita, Mestre Martínez and La Malena. At the exit of the Relic they will shoot 21 salves ¡ upon his arrival in the Plaza Mayor, a fireworks display will be set off in his honor.
After the Procession, in the Parish Temple the Hymn to Sant Jordi will be sung and the Relic of the Saint will be kissed in the following order; Clergy, authorities, Captains and Flagbearers, Party Committee, Opposite of Sant Jordi, listen to the Relic and town. In the meantime the Gojos a Sant Jordi will be sung.
