Hallelujah, No parish fullla 2208
This Sunday's hallelujah has a Georgian air, a musical atmosphere, a cultural aspect, a hallelujah “consolidated”.
We talk about the Musical Days of the Octavario de S. Jorge.
Today, in its XXXVII edition, the conferences are fully consolidated. The recovery effort that was made 37 years, looking back decades when, festive events concluded, They occupied a space, at the parties, cultural events (concerts, theater, dances…) every day. Today, on holiday days, there is no room for more., the days are short in hours.
We remember with nostalgia the first days: “guitar concert, lute, bandurria”; “guitar concert”; “piano concert (vertical)”; “organ concert (portable); concerts at the old Beneficencia Theater, in the communion chapel.
Today the Octavario Concerts already have their own and specific place in the field of music in Banyeres, clearly differentiated from other concerts. They are part of our cultural and musical cast.
And your own physical space: Our parish temple. What a difference from that temple painted gray, with moisture stains, with the walls smudged by smoke, with lack of light… what a difference!
When one sits in the temple for an octave concert, the physical space has nothing to envy of any concert in Central European temples.. Today in Banyeres, this frame beats many places.
Listen to baroque music, play J. S. Bach, Trade,… and other baroque authors today has a suitable setting in our parish temple, temple of transition between baroque and neoclassicism. And it is ideal when performing religious music (so much baroque, old or current), music composed to be performed in the temple.
