The bathtub Emilio Berenguer Ribera in the year 1927 moved the necessary threads around it to carry out the Proclamation of the Patronage of Sant Jordi for the town of Banyeres. We find this in the writings kindly given by his relatives to this brotherhood and through the minutes that appear in the MI Ajuntament, while soliciting the proclamation. Support he found in authorities and closest friends such as Remigio Torró and his close friend Marcelino Enrique Madrid, to whom months later he would entrust the task of being the founding president of the Brotherhood of St. George (1928).
Hui, 75 years later, the current board of directors with descending members of that president in his fourth and fifth generations, pay tribute to the founders who started in their day what today is a consolidated and strengthened brotherhood thanks to the continuity and effort made by all the presidents and their respective boards. For all of them our most
sincere memory and gratitude.
