50 Anniversary of the Transfer of Sant Jordi

The 23 April 1964, Brotherhood of St. George, that a year earlier had premiered the new steps for the Image of Sant Jordi "el Xicotet" begins to make the "Transfer of Sant Jordi", from the Cambril that had been built in the Communion Chapel to keep the aforementioned Image and Anda, leaving through the door of the Chapel of the Communion that faces La Malena street, going around the Square and entering the Image through the “Porta del Sol naxent” which is located on Carrer Sant Jordi, to the Temple Parish of Santa Maria, being deposited on the right side, facing the High Altar.
The Brotherhood of St. George, we want to invite the whole town to participate in the Transfers of our Patrón in this very special year. Event that, as it could not be otherwise, begins the celebration of the four days of the Great Festival that Banyeres de Mariola celebrates to celebrate Sant Jordi Mártir.
